Irish Champion Stokinpaws Acers High JW ShCM

From 6th April 2007 it became illegal for puppies to have their tails docked (there are a few exceptions but they do not include the Schnauzer breeds unless the tail is already injured, in which case this is technically an amputation)
All Beanara puppies are raised in the home and are well used to all types of household noises. They also have regular access to the garden once they are mobile, they will also mix with the other dogs which helps them to learn the 'canine' language which helps with future socialisation as your puppy grows up. This means that my minis tend to be the type that are happy to go out in the rain for a loo trip or just to play chase with the others and to have a splash about in the streams and lakes on our walks. The pups also get used to car travel during their time here, as much as possible is done to broaden the pups horizons before they are old enough to leave here from 8 weeks, this helps them to settle easier into their new home. It is no problem to hold the puppies for longer or to have them back for holidays if you are going away.
If you have any questions, we are here to offer help and advice - don't worry if it seems like a silly question, it's only silly if you don't ask!
Beanara only have puppies occasionally. Each breeding is carefully planned to produce the best quality we can and to have the time to properly socialise and raise a litter. The 'black & silver' and 'black' colour are NOT 'rare'! You should not be asked to pay more for Kennel Club registration, which costs the breeder £12 per puppy.
If you have any questions about Minis or Giants we will be happy to help.
If you are thinking about a puppy, remember -
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
Puppies leave Beanara with a comprehensive puppy pack, including Kennel Club registration and 5 generation pedigree, a booklet written by myself on how to care for your puppy, 4 weeks free insurance and a supply of food to get you started and many other extras. Most importantly your puppy has the advice and support from Beanara for the life of your puppy and if you need to find a new home for your puppy at ANY time in his life, he/she will always have a place here, a Beanara puppy must never end up in a rescue centre.
In return we ask that you send updates and photos of your puppy, we love to hear how they are getting on, no matter how old they are. We also love to be able to put these photos onto our gallery.
The puppies have their KC registration endorsed with 'progeny not eligible for registration' and 'not eligible for issue of export pedigree', this is to protect both the puppy and the breed.
Is there someone to love ME? This puppy is Ellie-May you can see her on the SCGB site as the before and after puppy in the grooming section of their website. Please note, Ellie does have a forever home where she has lived and been loved and totally spoilt since she was 8 weeks old.

If you are looking for a puppy make sure the sire and dam BOTH have current, clear eye tests (done in the previous 12 months) and that the pups will be eye tested at around 6 weeks old. Do not be afraid to ask to see these certificates and if you purchase a puppy you can ask for copies of these certificates.
Miniature Schnauzers can inherit CHC (Congenital Hereditary Cataracts) tested for at 6 weeks, PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and HC (Hereditary Cataract) both tested for annually. Please note, these eye tests can only tell us if the dog is AFFECTED by an eye condition. It is only by knowing about a dogs pedigree and annual eye testing and communication between breeders that we can vastly decrease the chances of an eye condition occuring but even the most carefully planned breedings, things can suddenly show up.
WE SUPPORT
The Joint Miniature Schnauzer Eye Fund which has been in existence for 7 years is currently raising money for research into getting DNA tests available for each eye condition. The fund stands at over £50,000. It is also seeking samples from affected dogs and their siblings, parents and grandparents. Kits are available from Dr Cathryn Mellersh, Animal Health Trust, Lanwades Park, Kentford, Suffolk, CB8 7UU. 01638 750659 or email
cathryn.mellersh@aht.org.uk The AHT advises the JMSEF of the number of samples from affected dogs and their relatives - all other information is confidential.
This fund now has enough to begin searching for a DNA test for one of the inherited eye conditions, we just need enough samples from affected dogs! Giant Schnauzers can inherit HC (Hereditary Cataract), tested for annually. It is also recommended that breeding stock are hip scored.
For more information on this go to one of the breed club sites in the links page.
We also support the AHT in its research into cancer and epilepsy in the 3 sizes of schnauzer, you can read more about their research on our Health page.
