BARKERS GROOMING

So began what became Barkers Grooming.

The grooming salon was opened on 5th November 2002, before that I had spent several years driving around the town as a mobile dog groomer.

I have been grooming all breeds for well over 10 years now, though of course I have been grooming schnauzers for much longer.

Pictured on the left is one of my Giant Schnauzers, Riesenheim Xena.

 

 

 

 

 

Barkers Grooming offers lessons on how to groom your schnauzer yourself. We will cover

- grooming equipment, what you need and how to use and maintain it

- correct way to bath your dog and how to pick appropriate shampoo and conditioner, the professional way to blow dry the dog

- how to clip your dog and choose the right blades

- scissoring, how to get the correct look and add that professional touch

- extra bits, clipping toe nails, plucking the ears and how to keep the teeth clean

- handstripping

- how to keep your dog looking good between trims

 

These grooming lessons are also available for other breeds.

If your dog is always getting matted, ask for a quick lesson on how to prevent mats and how to correctly brush and maintain the coat between trims.
