Tara is a history making Giant, in 2006 she was the very first Giant to be placed in a veteran group competition at a champ show, in 2007 she went even bettter and became the first Giant to WIN a veteran group at a championship show.

She is still an active dog who loves to play fetch at any time of the day or to go hunting for rabbits in the sand dunes. She has easily passed her Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme test and still enjoys learning new tricks. Tara also enjoys  just chilling out on her bed surrounded by her mini friends. Tara is my once in a lifetime Giant, as a puppy she was hard work but she has been worth it in the end and is still ready to take on new challenges at a moments notice. Thank you Kirk for letting me have her, although she has never gained the champion title, she has won 2 reserve challenge certificates and her stud book number when younger and now as a veteran she has come into her own and we hope you are proud of the old girl, like we are here. For those interested in such things, Tara is 24.5 inches in height which puts her right in the middle of the hight range for the breed.

As you can see from her pedigree below, Tara is closely related to some of the earlier imports into this country. She is typical of the german style of Gaint, with a correct hard coat on body AND legs
