Can you help the AHT with their study into cancer and epilepsy? Affected dogs and healthy dogs over 7 years old are needed to provide DNA samples from a simple, painless cheek swab. For more information, look at the health page.

We have been nominated for the award below

Breeder of the Year. Must be a registered breeder (not necessarily ANKC) and be nominated by a puppy buyer. The nomination is not about the success of the breeders dogs, or how many they breed. This is about service, standards and ethics provided to their puppy buyers. More information about this award can be viewed at http://www.mdba.net.au/index.php

At Beanara all our dogs live together in the house, usually hoggin' the sofa! Below is Amber giving Levi a sneaky kiss! Our dogs maybe show dogs at the weekend but the rest of the time, they are spoilt and much loved pets who are allowed to get muddy and splash about in the ponds at the dunes!

At Beanara we aim for good temperament, health and breed type, whether a dog is a much loved family pet or also a show dog or performance dog, these 3 requirements will enable your schnauzer to be the best he or she can be. You can find out a lot more about our dogs on the other pages in this website.

The dogs we are showing in 2009

'Wellingley Whats The Game at Beanara JW ShCM' - Crufts qualified for life after attaining his Junior Warrant at 14 months, 1 week of age! Levi was a part of the Wellingley team who won 3rd place in the grand final of the Breeders Stakes at Crufts 2008 held in the Main Arena. Levi has also won Miniature Schnauzer Puppy of the Year 2008. Levi has a Best In Show win already and various Best Puppy In Show and breed awards to his tally of sucesses along with adult and puppy group places at open shows. He has now added a reserve Challenge Certificate to his tally, this has him QUALIFIED FOR SCHNAUZER OF THE YEAR 2009. He finished 2008 by winning the final point for his ShCM title. He will now only be shown occasionally at open shows and taking a bit of a backseat for the champ shows as well.

'Riesenheim Xena ShCM' our 10 year old Giant will continue to be occasionally shown during the year. She won the veteran group at Darlington champ show 2007, the first Giant to do this. She has also won many best veteran in show wins both all breed and speciality shows at open and championship level. Tara has qualified for SCHNAUZER OF THE YEAR 2009! She still behaves like a young dog and enjoys playing chase games with a ball, her puppy at heart attitude and good, black colouring make it difficult for people to believe her age. Tara will retire after Schnauzer of the Year 2009, I'm not going to say exactly when, as she keeps telling me she isn't ready to be left at home all the time! It doesn't help that 2008 was her best show year, only appearing occasionally she won 2 RCC and a Best In show! I always said she'd be slow to mature! Tara has made a good start to 2009 by gaining the final points for her ShCM and winning Best Veteran In Show at an all breeds open show. 2009 continues well by her winning the RCC at Crufts!!

'Beanara Indys Guise  our black & silver male known as 'Guy' made his debut in March 2009, at his very first show he qualified for Crufts 2010. Guy had already had a taste of winning, when he became best puppy in match at his very first ringcraft class beating dogs up to nearly a year old!! He has since attended a few open shows and gained Best Puppy and Best of Breed awards along with placings in adult and puppy groups.

Kristec Money Penny  we will continue to campaign the black & silver bitch, ('Penny' or 'Hen Pen' as she is called here), for our friends at Kristec during this year. Penny was 5th in Special Puppy bitch class at Crufts 2009 in a numerically strong class. Penny is a daughter of Int Ch Hassan Hills Money Money Money ex Kristec Snow Angel
